Obama's Playbook

Hamas proudly claims responsibility for 10 out of the 31 rockets launched against Israeli civilians in the past 24 hours.

It is time that Israel resumed targeted killings of the terrorist leadership.

America is doing this weekly in Pakistan without its own homeland being under attack - let alone such relentless rocket fire.

For all his faults in the latter years, Ariel Sharon at least had the balls to obliterate Yassin and Rantisi in 2004 within weeks of each other. Professor Alan Dershowitz says it's perfectly legal.

Bibi - it's time to step up the the plate.

Let's all learn Greek

Whatever the outcome of the Greek election, the success of the coalition efforts and future of the country in the Eurozone, there is a fundamental lesson ALL countries need to have learned.

That is the importance of making voting compulsory for all citizens.

Without this applying in Greece, there is no question that the 37-year-old radical left-wing candidate Alexis Tsipras would have gained power on a disproportionate vote and wrought utter havoc on the world banking system.  He would have lit the fuse in Europe of the economic collapse that the likes of Cloward and Piven sought to exploit to end capitalism.

Leftists are the empty vessels who make the most noise.  They are the minority who have the (unemployed) time to plot change and get their friends and 'useful idiots' out to vote. They rely on the apathy of hard-working people who are more focused on earning an honest living, to win elections and press through agendas which serve only their narrow interests and to feather their nests.

The same Left created Europe and its single currency on a foundation of lies and false-accounting which magically rendered all comers eligible. Would anyone in their right mind make any kind of fiscal connection between Framkfurt and Athens?  The very notion is laughable.

It was always and ever just a power game with a dual purpose. (1) Jobs for the boys - all the Eurocrats who would otherwise not be able to hold down a proper job or run a business and (2) to destroy the nation statehood and national identity of European countries and turn them into European clones of a future 'global society' - the kind that George Soros wants and funds so passionately.

For seventeen straight years, the EU auditors have flatly refused to sign off the accounts of the European Union because of "irregularities" they are unable to resolve. For irregularities you may well read 'corruption'.

And political corruption is never far away from tyranny.  No surprise therefore to see the EU literally "install" a new prime minister in Italy to replace the buffoon Berlusconi. Mario Monti is an EU apparatchik ... unelected and without any democratic mandate to rule over Italians.  And yet, with consummate chutzpah, the unelected leaders of the EU have simply installed him with nary a complaint from anyone.

In the old days there used to be coups-de-etat.  World wars could be started over leadership of European countries.  Now it's done quietly by the EU - the Frankenstein monster of the Left - without so much as a sideways glance.

How ironic that - but for the compulsory voting law in Greece - the Eurozone created by the Left would have been destroyed by one of its very own.

Just look at our election turnouts: 30 percent .... rarely more than 50 percent.
Well, that's where the true danger lies.
Not in nuclear weapons.
But by empowering those who would destroy our freedoms by subversion of our democratic structure.

Importing the Apartheid lie

Race riots in South Tel Aviv and yesterday's arson of a migrants' apartment building in Jerusalem have given the Jew-hating mobs of media and academia a rare prize to conjure up some justification of their absurd charge of Jewish apartheid.

From our own trouble-makers like Peter Beinart, to the BBC's newest Israel-bashing correspondent ... they are falling over each other to publicise the stories and pictures to justify a decade of media libel.

And,where Israel is concerned there's always an irony .

In this case it took illegal migrants from no-less than Apartheid's very cradle in Africa and their raping of Israeli girls in Tel Aviv to spawn the kind of resentment you would find in any society that fails to enforce the law and protect its citizens.

Don't expect any of these media pundits to dig any deeper into the stories.
That might reveal the inconvenient truth that these same migrants risked their lives to travel thousands of miles - and cross the Sinai desert under fire from Egyptian soldiers - to flee to the ONLY sanctuary they felt they would be safe and have a decent life.

Jewish Apartheid Israel.

Jewish Uranium

Islamic clerics have often declared: "We love death more than you love life".
It's a mantra which has become synonymous with the global jihad. It was in the diaries of the Fort Hood killer Nidal Malik Hassan.

Nowhere is this contrast more clear than when we wake up to news of a suicide bombing somewhere in the Arab world - and almost as often, we wake up to a new medical breakthrough by Israeli scientists.

Today it's the Technion's discovery of the first biomarkers for Parkinsons disease, for which until now there has been no single blood-test to diagnose.

While the latest crop of Sunni or Shia bomb victims lie bleeding in the streets, Jews offer new hope to tens of millions of people at risk of this debilitating disease.

Our tiny 1/10th of 1 percent of the world's population continues to enrich the world while Islam enriches uranium to genocide-grade.

And still, the useful idiots in media, academia and unions cannot see it.
As the saying goes - there are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

A wiser man once said: Bigotry operates like the pupil of an eye.
The more light you shine on it, the tighter it closes.

Flotillas Happy and Sad

The Queen's jubilee flotilla today broke all records with over 1,000 ships, and this comparison with an oil painting of a centuries-old mayoral flotilla is really quite uncanny.

Watching this rainswept scenario on the news made me think of another flotilla which left the Spanish port of Palos half a century ago.

It was Tisha b'Av in the year 1492; the time limit for a royal expulsion of Jews from Spain.

These pictures may well depict what Palos looked like on that final day, as the last remaining Jews fled Spain on any vessel they could find.  So crowded was the harbour with fleeing Jews, that Christopher Columbus had to postpone his departure to discover the New World - which ironically became the new Jewish refuge in the 'Golden Medina' of America.

200 years earlier another Jewish expulsion coincided with Tisha b'Av.
The expulsion of Jews from England in 1290.

Measure for Measure

The latest in drone technology is the Assad. It seems to be able to drone on forever without interruption and is guaranteed to bore victims into a slow death.

Listening to the Spock-eared tyrant addressing his oxymoronic 'Syrian Parliament' I can't miss the irony of this man blaming all the slaughter and insurrection on terrorism.  The same terrorism that he himself sponsored, funded and fomented as a willing and active partner with Iran and Libya in the Axis of Evil.

Scripture is replete with vengeance meted out by G-d on the basis of 'middah keneged middah' - or measure for measure. One early example was the Egyptian Pharaoh. He started out drowning Jewish newborns, and ended up being drowned with his entire army in the Red Sea.

In the same way it seems that those who waged terror on the Jewish people have found themselves in the crosshairs of their own evil creation.

Just marvel at the way our enemies are being removed one-by-one, without the House of Israel having to fire a single shot.  Saddam, Gadaffi, Mubarak, Bin Laden and now Assad. Sunnis and Shia keep blowing each other up on a daily basis. The Hamas of Gaza continue to fight Palestinians of Ramallah and throw their people off the roofs of high buildings.  Even Chavez is dying - slowly.

All without any help from us.

As the good book also says: "Hashem will fight for you - you need only remain still" (Exodus 14:14).

I can't wait to see what happens to Ahmadinejad, for whom something really special must be in the heavenly works.

PS: I apologise for any offence to atheists leftists and nihilists and I of course respect their right to ascribe all of this to the big bang, evolution, intelligent design or the fascinating premise that the Arab spring was really caused by anthropological global warming.

PPS:  I would not normally bother to listen to an Assad speech - let alone watch anything else on BBC News - were it not for the fact that it is so hot here in Jerusalem, there's not much else to do indoors. Meanwhile London celebrates the Royal Jubilee in the traditional British way - 9 degrees and nonstop rain ... and it's June! Happy Jubilee Day.
